You will need:
Chart paper, marker, scissor

Pre-planning:
Draw three circles big, medium, and small on a chart paper and cut it.
On the small circle, write /sp/. On the medium circle, write on, sponge, ort, arrow, ade.
On the big circle stick/ draw spoon, sponge, sport, sparrow, spade, spider.
Place the big circle at the bottom, keep medium circle on it, and lastly keep a small circle on the top.
Put a clip in the middle in such a way that the three circles can easily rotate. (Refer to the image)

Helpful information:
Consonant blends are a set of two or three consonant letters when pronounced; they retain their sound. Blends are found either at the beginning or end of the word.

Let’s Go:
• Inform the child that today we are going to learn words starting with the consonant blend /sp/.
• Give the board game to the child and ask the child to rotate the circle, read the word, and find the picture.
•Let the child rotate it to read the next word. Continue.
