You will need:
Chart paper, scissor, marker.

Pre-planning:
Draw 12 cone shapes on a chart paper and write any 12 upper case letters on it. Draw 12 ice-cream scoops and write lower case letters (same letters as the upper case so that children can match the upper case and lower-case letters).

Let’s Go:
• A child needs plenty of opportunities to practice letter identification.
• Demonstrate how to match the cone (upper case letter) to the scoop (lower case letter).
• Mix the cones and scoops and let the child find the match
• Appreciate the child.
